Isaiah 30:18

Who could have imagined
The maker of time
Waiting

Who could have seen
The God of justice
Eager to give grace

Why does the Father
Watch for his children
To stop dreaming up solutions
Pale and powerless
And to return
To the waiting place

How could we know
He would be exalted
By His mercy
More than by our best attempts
To exalt ourselves
In His name
